— Meet Our Team —

Our veterinary technicians are some of the most dedicated, hard working and fabulous people around! They're what help keep us and our patients moving.

— Tate Thornton, VT —

Tate is Paragon Equine’s vet tech from Fort Collins, Colorado, where she graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Equine Science and Management. She made the move to Utah a few years ago to work with horses, which has always been her passion.

Tate’s favorite things to do outside of work include riding her horses, working with cattle, working out at the gym, and watching dinosaur movies. She loves meeting all of Paragon Equine’s amazing clients and getting the opportunity to work with their equine friends.

— Sarah Kaye, VT —

Sarah is a local to Salt Lake City, and has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Conservation and Land Management from the University of Utah. Sarah has been riding hunter-jumper for 14 years, and enjoys riding and competing just as much as the horse care that comes with it. She has competed across the West in A-rated and local competitions, receiving championships and year-end awards. It is this devotion to the sport and care of the animal that led her to want to work in veterinary medicine.

When Sarah is not working as our seasonal tech, she enjoys her winters at Alta ski area as a PSIA level 2 certified instructor — in between barn time with her horse CJ, of course.
